Alex Kuret

Alex Kuret (Trst, 1991) je pri dvaindvajsetih letih z odliko zaključil magistrski študij na Konservatoriju za glasbo G. Tartini v Trstu in bil za to tudi posebej nagrajen. Izpopolnjeval se je tudi na Visoki šoli za glasbo v Freiburgu in bil član ansambla Schlagzeugansemble Freiburg. Sodeluje z opernim orkestrom Gledališča G. Verdi v Trstu in orkestrom FVG Mitteleuropa. V 2012 je bil na turneji z orkestrom Maribor International Orchestra (MIO2012) v Španiji in Veliki Britaniji, kjer so v Londonu so igrali na poletnih Olimpijskih igrah (2012). Osvojil je zlato priznanje na Mednarodnem glasbenem tekmovanju Svirél (2012, Slovenija). Bil je član žirije za tolkala na državnem tekmovanju TEMSIG. Poučuje v razredu za tolkala na Liceju za glasbo in balet I.S.I.S. “Caterina Percoto” v Vidmu, na Glasbeni šoli Tolmin in na tečajih šole pihalnega orkestra v Ricmanjah.

Nataša Burger

Nataša Burger began studying the flute in the Zagorje Music School. After finishing her studies at the Music High School, she entered the Ljubljana Academy of Music, where she graduated with Prof. M. Zupan. She works as a flute teacher at the Zagorje Music School. Her pupils have successfully participated in national and international competitions, and performed at numerous concerts in Zagorje and elsewhere, many continuing their musical paths at the Music High School. Nataša regularly attends flute seminars organised by prominent soloists and music pedagogues. She has been a member of various chamber ensembles and orchestras, and is the artistic director and conductor of the first flute orchestra in Slovenia, which she has led since its establishment. In 2006, she was awarded the most distinguished cultural prize of the Zagorje Municipality, the Grum Plaque, for her dedicated work in the field of culture.

Študij iz trobente je opravil v razredu prof. Stanka Arnolda na Akademiji za glasbo Ljubljana. Sodeloval je na različnih tekmovanjih in prejel številne zlate plakete in nagrade. Poleg rednega šolanja se je dodatno izpopolnjeval. Na Berklee College of Music si je pridobil znanje za tonskega mojstra in producenta. Je član glasbenih zasedb za zabavno glasbo (Anja Burnik s prijatelji, Savinjskih 7, Strizzy). Poučuje na Glasbeni šoli Franca Šturma v Ljubljani. Vodi otroški, mladinski in pihalni orkester, je asistent simfoničnega orkestra ter vodi Mestno godbo Kamnik. Je ustanovni član zasebne glasbene šole Dolce in lastnega glasbenega studia.

Mitja Žerjal

Mitja Žerjal studied saxophone at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and taken lessons from renowned musicians and professors (J.-M. Londeix, S. Bichon, E. Rousseau, C. Delangle, D. Sremec, G. Merčep, V. David, S. Nestorović, J. Balogh, J. van der Roost). As an instrumentalist he worked with SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana Orchestra, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and Slovenian Army Wind Orchestra. He was a member of the bands Piran Saxophone Quartet, waterfall saxophone Quartet Saxophone Orchestra SOS and was second conductor of the city orchestra from Muggia (IT). Since 1996, he teaches saxophone and chamber music at the Music School Koper and the Arts High School in Koper. As part of the educational work he lectured at seminars masterclass in Italy (Saxinsieme, Clara-Sax ...) and in Slovenia. Today is a member of the Saxophone Quartet Sax4et (IT), Ensemble Saxophone Sax-huit (IT), Regional chamber ensemble Accademia di ments a fiato Serenade ANSEMBLE and technical cooperation with various orchestral ensembles.

Nejc Merc

After graduating from the Arts Grammar School of the Maribor Conservatory, he continued his studies at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and finished his master’s degree in the class of the professor Darko Rošker in 2014, with honours and special mention (summa cum laude). During his studies, he participated in national and international competitions and achieved remarkable results (4 golden plaques, 2 first prizes, second prize, third prize and a silver plaque). He continued to broaden his knowledge with the world-renowned professors such as Øystein Baadsvik, Steven Mead and Thomas Rüedi. Nejc regularly collaborates with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Slovenian Brass Band, the Slovenian Philharmonics Brass Ensemble and the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Maribor. As a student, he also collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra and the Big Band of the Music Academy in Ljubljana. In 2012 he performed Fantasy by Philip Spark as a soloist, accompanied by the Brass Orchestra of the Music Academy. Throughout his studies he also performed multiple solo concerts as well as chamber music concerts, organised by Jeunesses Musicales Ljubljana. He is a recipient of the Student Prešeren Award. He has been working at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet in Maribor, leading the Orchestra of the Centre Music School since 2013.
